Saruni Samburu ? Work in good progress

Dear Friends,

Just a quick note to inform you that construction of Saruni Samburu is proceeding well and opening date has been confirmed for 1st June 2008. I?m confident that it will be the best lodge in Samburu, very innovative in design and style. Set in a stunning landscape (the images above are the view from the lodge?s common area), it?s totally isolated from the busy areas of Samburu even if access to the National Reserve is only 3 km away. Thanks to the availability of water we?ll provide our guests with excellent game viewing in and around camp, in total safety. We?ll visit Samburu and Buffalo Springs Reserves any time we need and want, but our large private conservancy is quickly becoming the most productive wildlife area of the eco-system. Our construction team spot leopard, elephant, giraffe, zebra, oryx during the day time and despite their noisy activities!

Our web site is open in two weeks. The lodge has 6 cottages, 2 of which are double or family cottages (with two bedrooms each and a common area, as in a private house). There is a very large ?infinity? swimming pool, a stars-gazing verandah, a massage area called Samburu Wellbeing Space. Activities include bush dinner, bush lunch, walking safaris, night game drives (not allowed by other Samburu lodges) drawing safaris and a special program called ?Warriors for a week? (send me an email if you want more info about the latter two). Rates are the same as Saruni in the Masai Mara. We use open vehicles and professional Samburu guides (not ?drivers?!).
