Saruni Samburu and Saruni Mara are two small, luxury lodges located in the most beautiful conservation areas in Kenya. Saruni is a 5-cottages and 1 family villa lodge: the only small lodge of the Mara; Saruni Samburu is a 6 villas/20 beds lodge in Samburu and is considered probably the most beautiful and innovative lodge in Kenya. In the Masai Mara, one of wonders of the world, we also have a very special property: Saruni Wild, a 3-tents only private camp.

Saruni is a different experience. On safari with us you have your own vehicle and private guide, evenings are spent in the common area, an elegantly appointed place, or on private dinners in the bush in samburu in the middle of a sand river, in the Mara in the middle of an acacia forest). We work very closely with the Samburu and the Maasai communities and our guides are all very well qualified local guides, who know the ecosystems extremely well and will bring you close to the most amazing wildlife, but also will offer the correct narrative that will explain the interaction of fauna, landscape, flora, people, land management. Samburu and Maasai Mara are two very different areas: weather, animals, landscape, culture, all is different and they complement each other very nicely. The are connected by a daily direct flight and the ideal is to go to Samburu first, then fly from Samburu to the Maasai Mara and then from the Mara back to Nairobi or to the Coast. In both location we do day and nights game drives, game walks, early morning game drives with pic nic breakfast, full day game drives with bush lunch, evening game drives with bush dinner, “warriors for a week” special programs for families, sundowners, birdwatching and more.
